WELCOME TO THE HILL COUNTRY APS ADVISORY BOARD

SERVING THE HILL COUNTRY REGION

The Hill Country APS Advisory Board is dedicated to strengthening the safety, dignity, and well-being of vulnerable and at-risk adults throughout our communities. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit volunteer organization, we bring together Adult Protective Services, healthcare professionals, first responders, community organizations, caregivers, local leaders, and student interns to address the complex needs of older adults and adults with disabilities.

Through collaboration, advocacy, education, and community partnerships, we work to expand access to essential resources, raise awareness of adult abuse, neglect, and exploitation, and support initiatives that help individuals remain safe, respected, and connected. We are also committed to fostering the next generation of professionals by providing educational opportunities and community-based learning experiences for social work students interested in aging services, Adult Protective Services, case management, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Together, we are building a stronger network of care that empowers our most vulnerable community members to live with dignity, independence, and the support they deserve.

Our Mission

At the Hill Country APS Advisory Board, we are committed to protecting the safety, dignity, and well-being of vulnerable adults throughout our communities. Through strong partnerships, community education, and meaningful advocacy, we work to prevent abuse, neglect, and exploitation while expanding access to the resources and support individuals need to live safely and with dignity.

Community Partnerships

We bring together Adult Protective Services, healthcare professionals, first responders, community organizations, caregivers, and local leaders to strengthen the network of care for vulnerable adults. By working together, we create lasting solutions that make a meaningful impact.

Education & Awareness

Knowledge is one of the most effective tools for prevention. We provide educational opportunities, community outreach, and valuable resources that help individuals recognize the signs of abuse, neglect, exploitation, and self-neglect while promoting awareness of available support services.

Advocacy & Action

We champion initiatives, policies, and community efforts that protect vulnerable adults and uphold their rights. Through advocacy and action, we strive to build safer communities where every older adult and adult with a disability is treated with compassion, respect, and dignity.
